Mary Beth McEuen is a fractional Strategy & Culture Officer with a unique blend of skills in business strategy, culture, human behavior, and leadership development. Mary Beth's mission is to partner with executives committed to taking their business to the highest levels of performance and trust by developing a culture of leaders at every level of the organization.
Prior to launching Innergy, Mary Beth held multiple executive roles in a 27-year career with a $1.2 billion company based in St. Louis, MO. She rose up through the ranks to head up Marketing & Strategy for the company's flagship business unit. In this role, Mary Beth spearheaded a global strategy to transform from a commoditized product company to a full-service solutions provider. Mary Beth saw that the key to strategy execution was strong leadership. This realization prompted Mary Beth to pursue a Master's Degree in Organization Leadership while also making a move into a strategic HR role at the corporate offices. Mary Beth partnered with the CEO and executive team to develop the vision, mission and values for the organization followed by a full re-design and alignment of strategic human resource processes. These included strategic talent review, reward & recognition, leadership development, and performance management. Culture measurements were developed to specifically measure values-based behaviors. Annual culture measurement drove strategic gap analysis with executive-level accountability for improvement.
After five years in a strategic HR role, Mary Beth partnered with the CEO to found and build from scratch a R&D institute with a mission of elevating the client products and solutions to deliver on the company vision of unleashing human potential. Mary Beth was spotlighted by the Drucker Institute as being a leading innovator bringing together the fields of neuroscience-based understanding of human behavior with design thinking to drive an innovation agenda across all business units. In addition, Mary Beth authored numerous articles in publications such as Strategy+Business and Cornell Hospitality Research Center.
